BEN: What do we need to know about system and communications protection?
DAN: Oh wow okay this is a big one. This is 16 different controls. What we’re really doing here, is we’re looking at the communications of those systems. Two other systems and also controlling that at our boundary. So this deals with everything from define your scope again. What information is flowing in and out of that? What other systems are, basically, sending information? And then, even down to, there’s a whole separate control on just mobile devices. What goes to the mobile device? Is it logged? Can I say where that device was, what information was on it, and how do I control that information? So this is all about the important things we care about, the data, and how we control that flow through the organization and across devices.
